Pinoy Pop Culture

PINOY! yes I am one. I currently reside in Los Angeles and we still cook Bicol Express. Before I came here, I stayed in Manila, Bicol, and Baguio. For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, the places I mentioned are all in the Philippines. All three are located in an island called Luzon. Manila- being Central, Bicol-Down South, Baguio-North.

I miss my country. Mainly because of a certain egg called “balut”.

(the upper content of this post is IRRELEVANT to the post Hello World.)

SO OK. Pop Culture. I don’t know much about it.

POPULAR Culture? The patterns of human activity and the symbolic structures that give such activities significance and importance — which are popular, well-liked or common.

THERE’S A LOT, but I’m only giving one.

“This is often defined or determined by the mass media.” — wiki

Pinoy Pop Culture. Filipino’s are quick to brush off faddish matters like “ZAGU”.

  • Google’s a Fad (so rich it’s becoming an icon, check the stocks). A cultural breakthrough according to me and a threat to the New York Times :p (I’ve seen this presentation about Google being the absolute “Press” in 2014.)

But why do I say it’s a phase?

Because even if it’s “Intensely fashionable”, there is no doubt, Not even a ounce of dubiety, that someone out there (or a group of people) will outdo this search engine.

YEaHh Meyn, Why google other than simple examples? Because I know I use it. And you do too pare :)

This is my first post in 3 years. Hello World!
