Movies Ads: "Pinagbiyak na Bunga: Lookalayk" (1994)

Pinagbiyak na Bunga: Lookalayk, a comedy movie produced by Viva Films, opened in theaters on February 10, 1994. This movie features veteran comedian Chiquito and rapper Andrew E. in the title role, under the direction of Ben Feleo. Other cast members include Leo Martinez, Donna Cruz, Dale Villar, Ruby Rodriguez, Raffy Rodriguez and Dindi Gallardo.

Movie Ads: "Megamol" (1994)

Actress-singer Sharon Cuneta, who turns 48 today, co-starred with rapper Andrew E. in the comedy movie, Megamol, which opened in theaters on August 3, 1994. Megamol is a portmanteau of Megastar and Gamol, the lead stars' respective monikers.

The title of this Viva Films production might have also been an apparent pun for SM Megamall, a shopping center that was newly-built at that time. Same as nowadays, the movie served as an avenue for product placements. Megamol was brought by Selecta Ice Cream and the Jollibee fastfood chain.

Movie Ads: Pretty Boy (1993)

On January 4, 1993, more than a week after the 1992 Metro Manila Film Festival, the comedy film Pretty Boy opened in theaters. Pretty Boy was Viva Films' opening salvo for 1993. It stars the rap singer Andrew E. Other cast members include Janno Gibbs, Anjo Yllana, Chuckie Dreyfuss, Patrick Guzman, I.C. Mendoza, Gelli de Belen, Lea Orosa, Ana Roces, Donna Apols Gutierrez, Jessica Rodriguez, and Gerone Olorocisimo.

Interestingly the film also introduces Christopher de Venecia, who is the youngest son of then-Pangasinan Congressman Jose de Venecia. The elder De Venecia was also House Speaker during that time.
